An 8-year-old plan for a new connector road between Prescott and Prescott Valley appears to be moving forward again, thanks, in part, to the possibility of federal infrastructure money.

During a meeting of local transportation leaders at the Prescott Resort on Wednesday, Aug. 11, the long-discussed 3.5-mile Sundog Connector between Prescott Lakes Parkway and Highway 69 in Prescott Valley emerged as a top priority.

The road is planned to run from the Prescott Lakes Parkway roundabout near the Yavapai County Juvenile Justice Center to Sundog Ranch Road in Prescott Valley near the Hobby Lobby store.
