The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for lane closures on north- and southbound State Route 89 near Drake Road between mileposts 351 and 352 while a pavement-repair project is underway.

The work is scheduled to occur from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, and Wednesday, Oct. 31.

  • SR 89 will be narrowed to one lane during daytime operations.
  • Flaggers and a pilot car will direct drivers through the work zone during daytime operations.
  • The speed limit will be reduced to 35 mph.

Drivers should proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down and watch for construction personnel and equipment.
