Drivers should plan for delays and allow extra travel time
The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for lane closures on north- and southbound State Route 89 between Rancho El Oso Road (milepost 285) to south of South Mina Road (milepost 276) in Yarnell for pavement repair.

Crack-seal work is scheduled to occur daily from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. beginning Tuesday, Dec. 11, through Friday, Dec. 14.

  • SR 89 will be narrowed to one lane in each direction with partial closures while work is underway.
  • Flaggers and a pilot-car operation will be in place directing traffic through the work zone.
  • The speed limit will be reduced from 45 mph to 35 mph.

Drivers should proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down and watch for construction personnel and equipment.

Schedules are subject to change based on weather and other unforeseen factors. For more information, please call the ADOT Project Information Line at 855.712.8530 or email Projects@azdot.gov.
